My grandfather, Giuseppe DiPasquale, came to NY from Ragusa, Sicily in 1918. His family had a cheese and provisions company in his hometown - they sold it in 1950 - but, it still bears the family name; Dipasquale Formaggi. They used to ship all kinds of cheeses and oils and wonderful products to us and I vividly remember the "difference" between those products and everything else. I inherited my grandfather's love of cooking and I have found Terra Delyssa to be one of the very best olive oils available here in the USA. From the glass bottles/color, etc., to the mild, yet distinct flavor - it is suitable for ANY application. I have used it to create dipping oils, salad dressings, a multitude of recipes involving grilling, poaching, roasting, etc., even for frying - it has an exceptionally well rounded flavor. Never bitter, never weak, never flavorless. I highly recommend this olive oil and you cannot beat the subscription options. Delivered right to your door, you never have to go searching to find it.
